The Church Charity Sports Day 2011
The 5th Church Charity Sports Day will be held at Grasshoppers RFC on Saturday June 18th 2011 and will be bigger than ever with 60 rugby teams, 300 touch rugby teams and 42 netball teams!
The emphasis of the day will once again be social and to have fun whilst raising money for good causes including the Aherne Trust, Legacy and Wooden Spoon society. The day will have entertainment all day long including live bands, the Church DJ and dance groups.
The two nationalities that visit the Church most frequently, namely New Zealanders and Australians – will compete against each other in sports including Union, League, Netball, Touch, Soccer, and Tag for the Church Challenge Cup!
Spectators are more than welcome and entry is free aside from that The Church has asked visitors over 18 to make a small donation of £5 to their chosen charity.
